Facility Dog Program

Facility Dogs have the ability to enhance the lives of multiple people and even entire communities. These dogs can be one avenue to create and sustain a healthy public environment.

How This Program Works:

Facility Dogs are usually paired with one or two handlers and most often assigned to Facilities with multiple people such as:

Health Care Facilities
Schools
Police, Fire/EMS, 911 Dispatch Centers and with Critical Incidents Stress Management Teams
Residential Care Facilities
Counseling and Mental Care Facilities
Senior and Youth Facilities

Facility Dog handlers have the common goal of fostering a welcoming, calm, and supportive public environment.

Remain at the forefront to serve people
Deescalate difficult situations
Provide social interaction
Reduce stress and anxiety
Lower cortisol levels
