Providing dogs that provide hope

Even Heroes Need Help Sometimes

Our goal is to limit restrictions and provide veterans and first responders with the companionship they need for a brighter tomorrow.

Our Mission

Together Towards Tomorrow

At Keep Going K9s, we champion the unwavering spirit of our nation’s heroes, walking hand in leash towards a new dawn of hope and healing by uniting them with life-changing service dogs. Our mission is a shared journey together toward tomorrow, where the leash is a bond of mutual support, courage, and forward momentum.

Amidst the challenge of PTSD, we rekindle hope, foster resilience, and ensure that every veteran and first responder, alongside their faithful K9 companions, strides confidently into a brighter future.

Our Story

We’ve Walked In Your Boots

Service is the reason why we’re here. Our founders served our nation and communities in the military and as first responders. They know firsthand the psychological traumas heroes can face.
They also know firsthand how much a well-trained dog can help overcome those challenges. Recognizing the benefits to fellow service veterans, Keep Going K9s was founded to share the joy a K9 companion brings with as many individuals as we can possibly help.

Our Facility

Located in Kearnsville, West Virginia, we predominantly support local heroes as well as those in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

The Keep Going K9’s facility is ADA-friendly and located on 6 acres of quiet, rural woodlands. K9s housed onsite live in open-run kennels as they receive specialized training before graduating and being partnered with a hero.
Most dogs spend time with volunteer puppy raisers before receiving specialized training at KGK9’s facility. Puppy raisers provide a comfortable home and constant training necessary to raise a K9, including potty training, routines, exposure to other pets, and the establishment of basic commands.
